When does the NBA 2022/2023 season start?
We’ve seen the Golden State Warriors win their fourth title in eight seasons, but eyes are already turning to the next campaign.

Steph Curry and his Dubs are still celebrating their new championship ring but others have switched their gaze from the very recent past to the relatively distant future. Will the Golden State Warriors make it five in nine? Will the Celtics or Lakers step ahead with 18? Will Doncic and Wood ride the Cowboys all the way? We’ll have to wait a good few months to even get things started...

When is NBA draft and new 2022/23 season?
Before we look at start dates for the new campaign, let’s get the rosters fixed up first. The National Basketball Association’s 2022/23 draft takes place on Thursday 23 June at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Orlando Magic have the No. 1 pick with the Thunder, Rockets and Kings following up next. The top pick for the No. 1 pick in the draft, and potential leader of a very interesting crop of young stars, is Jabari Smith Jr.

So to the next season, which will be the 77th of the NBA. Well, although we don’t yet know the actual regular season schedule - which should be confirmed in August - we do know that games will begin in October 2022. They will run through to April 2023 and then the serious business kicks in leading us to the Finals in June.
