Which NBA teams have a new head coach this season? Lakers, Jazz...

It’s obviously not just the star players that come and go between different teams and so we look at the coaching changes seen to date.

The off season news is usually dominated by the tradings of players between the 30 teams across the Eastern and Western Conference of the NBA. The destinations and/or new contracts of the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Juancho Hernangómez have all made some headlines of late, but lest we forget that the teams are also looking for shake-ups with their head coaches.

Let’s have a look at the moves on the sidelines so far in 2022-23...

NBA coaching changes: summer 2022

Los Angeles Lakers fire Frank Vogel then hire Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham

Sacramento Kings fire Luke Walton (midseason) and Alvin Gentry then hire Golden State Warriors associate head coach Mike Brown

Charlotte Hornets fire James Borrego then hire former Orlando Magic head coach Steve Clifford

Utah Jazz fire Quin Snyder then hire Boston Celtics assistant coach Will Hardy

Will it make the positive difference that is hoped for? We’ll be back in a few months to find out...
