Which NBA teams have never won a championship ring?
As strong as many teams are in the NBA, 12 of them have yet to win the coveted championship title. Let’s take a look at who these teams are
Winning the Larry O’Brien trophy is every NBA’s ultimate goal, but only one team can claim it every season.
While several NBA teams have won multiple championships, and over half of the 30 teams in the League have won at least one championship since the NBA-ABA merger, there still remain 12 teams who have never celebrated a championship title.
Some of these teams have come closer than others over the years but never quite close enough.
The Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves have never won an NBA championship despite making the NBA playoffs, each of these teams
Before the Seattle SuperSonics moved and became the Thunder, the franchise did win the 1978-79 NBA Finals. They never repeated the win in Oklahoma City though.
