Who is Shannon, Anthony Edwards’ girlfriend?
The Minnesota Timberwolves guard has established himself as one of the best players in the NBA as they face Denver in the semifinals.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the handful of NBA teams to have never won the championship, let alone make the final and as things stand, they are a good outside bet.
Chris Finch’s team are third seeds in the Western Conference and had little trouble in sweeping aside Phoenix Suns with a 4-0 whitewash. The Timberwolves now face a sterner test as they take on reigning champions Denver Nuggets in the semifinals and their progress on the competition will depend in part on performances by the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns, who recently returned from a complicated knee injury, the T’Wolves success has largely been down to the sensational performance of Anthony Edwards.
At 22 years old, the former Georgia star has taken the NBA by storm since entering the NBA in 2021 and has also showcased his talents on the international stage as well, leading Team USA in scoring with 18.9 ppg during the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
“I think people forget that I’m 22,” Edwards recently said on NBA Today. “I’m not even touching my prime yet.” with the Atlanta born adding the he expects to reach his prime in “two or three years”.
Edwards’ “other half”
Edwards became the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft in 2020 and went to to form part of the NBA All-Rookie First Team and it was also the same year when he and his girlfriend Shannon went public with their relationship on Instagram.
Shannon is a major influencer and boasts a following of more than 120,000 on the social media platform.
The couple welcomed their daughter in March 2024 with Edwards leaving Timberwolves game at halftime to be there for her birth on 2 March with Shannon is also the mother to son Krue Karter, whom she shares with Chicago born rapper Chief Keef.
Shannon will no doubt be tuning into the action from Colorado as the Timberwolves look to make an early impact in their best of seven series against No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and current NBA champions, Denver Nuggets.
