Why is Jaylen Brown not playing today for the Celtics against the Kings?
The forward was dealt a late blow in his chances to feature against the Kings.

As the Boston Celtics prepare to face the Sacramento Kings tonight, all eyes were on the availability of one of their top stars, Jaylen Brown.
However, the latest official injury information is that Brown will not play in this matchup.
Brown was initially listed as doubtful on the Celtics’ injury report due to a combination of left hamstring tightness and a right knee contusion.
He was later upgraded to out.

Jayson Tatum - Right Achilles Repair - OUT https://t.co/g7F1wQlkFB
These issues have been a recurring theme for the All-Star wing in recent weeks, limiting his ability to play at full strength and prompting cautious management from the team’s medical staff.
While he took the court in recent games and posted a solid scoring performance against the Atlanta Hawks, the dual injury designation this week has raised enough concern that the Celtics are prepared to hold him out.
A “doubtful” tag in NBA injury reporting typically means there is less than a 50 percent chance of participation; clearly the medical staff were not sure that participating would be risk-free for the player.
Jaylen Brown has been one of the most productive players in the NBA this season, putting up career-best numbers as Boston’s de facto lead scorer in the absence of Jayson Tatum. Through his first 44 games, Brown is averaging approximately 29.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, while also contributing defensively with about one steal per contest.
