Will Austin Reaves play for the Lakers today against the Knicks?
Here’s the latest on Reaves’ injury, ahead of tip-off against the New York side.

Rejoice, Lakers fans. And it’s not because the side have won five of their seven games and are coming off a blockbuster 142-111 win over the Washington Wizards.
The good news is that after nearly a month on the sidelines, Austin Reaves may finally be ready to rejoin the Los Angeles side for their upcoming game.
The guard has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks; thanks to a Grade 2 left calf strain suffered on Christmas Day, the 27-year-old as been out of action for the last 18 games for his side, and has only played in two of the last 23 games due to multiple calf issues.
Such a string of bad luck in terms of his fitness has forced coach JJ Redick and the Lakers as a roster to adapt without one of their most dynamic offensive players. During the long stretch without Reaves, Los Angeles have put up a 9-8 record.

Reaves’ absence has been especially noticeable on the offensive end. Before the injury, he was enjoying a breakout season, averaging 26.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game while shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from 3-point range and serving as a creative spark in the Lakers’ offence.
Meanwhile, Dončić is cleared to play in Sunday’s game following a mild ankle concern in recent matches, meaning the Lakers could nearly be at full strength to face the Knicks if Reaves takes the court. Adou Thiero remains the only player still sidelined on the current injury list.
As for the game itself, fans are paying huge prices as it could be one of the last times 41-year-old LeBron James plays at the historic arena; average resale ticket prices have climbed above $900, making this the most expensive regular-season NBA game since Kobe Bryant’s final MSG appearance in 2016.
