Will Cade Cunningham play today for the Pistons against the Nets?
The Detroit star is present on his side’s injury list ahead of tip-off.

Detroit’s rising fortunes this season have hinged in large part on the health and production of their All-Star guard Cade Cunningham, and all eyes were on his availability as the Pistons prepared to host the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday evening.
After being listed on the official injury report due to right hip soreness, Cunningham enters the contest as “probable”, offering a significant boost for Detroit’s lineup and upcoming Eastern Conference contest.
The 22-year-old guard has been a key contributor this season for a Pistons team that currently sits near the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

His ability to score, facilitate and control tempo has helped Detroit build a solid cushion in the playoff race, and his status suggests he will assume his usual playmaking role on Sunday.
Across 33 games, he is averaging around 25.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game, ranking among the league leaders. His scoring numbers place him comfortably in the top 20 in the NBA, while his assists average is first in the league.
Cunningham’s hip issue has been monitored in recent days after some discomfort limited his practice activity, but head coach Monty Williams and the Pistons’ medical staff appear confident enough to give him the green light.
The “probable” tag typically indicates that while there is some concern, the player is expected to see action barring any setback during warm-ups.
Detroit’s matchup with Brooklyn carries contrasting implications for each franchise. The Pistons have been one of the more consistent teams so far, looking to solidify positioning in a competitive Eastern Conference. In contrast, the Nets have struggled throughout the season and are seeking stability and growth heading into a crucial run of games.
Reserve wing Caris LeVert has also appeared on Detroit’s injury report and is listed as questionable with an illness. For Brooklyn, Noah Clowney has been ruled out with a lower back sprain, and Ziaire Williams will miss the game because of a left calf contusion.
