Brunson comes off the back of their most recent game, a 125-101 win against the Charlotte Hornets, having put up 24 points, one rebound, five assists and one steal while shooting 6/8 from the field and 5/6 from the three-point range in 27 minutes.
Over the course of the season, the point guard is shining for the Knicks, averaging 25.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists per match while shooting 49.3% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point range in his first 22 games of the season.

Brunson is listed on the official injury report as having a lower back contusion, and his status ahead of the game at Madison Square Garden is ‘questionable’, meaning he will be evaluated ahead of tip-off.
The Knicks go into the game as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 14-8 record, and have already crushed the Pistons once this season, winning 128-98 in Michigan.
After Sunday’s tie, the Knicks will play their next game on Monday evening when they travel to take on RJ Barrett and the Toronto Raptors.
