Update:

Kevin Durant was one of the eyebrow-raising names on the official NBA list published ahead of the December 13 round of games, with the Phoenix Suns forward included along with three other teammates.

Durant is present on the injury list with a ‘left ankle sprain’, and issue that he picked up on December 3 against the San Antonio Spurs.

However, the good news is that his side have labelled him as ‘probable’, meaning the medical staff are clearly happy with the 36-year-old’s progress and have given him the green light to return to action.

What is the Suns' record with and without Durant?

Durant has struggled this season with fitness: out of his team’s 23 games, he has only appeared in 13, and has been out for the last 3 consecutive clashes.

As a result, this season, the Suns are 10th in the Western Conference, having won 12 games and lost 11; they are level with the Timberwolves and just behind the Lakers, who are both struggling after positive campaigns last season.

And that is no exaggeration: with Durant in the side, the Suns have a quite astonishing 11-2 record and were 8-1 before Durant’s seven-game injury. He is on for 25.8 points per game and 6.7 rebounds so far this season.

It’s not only Durant who is the good news on Friday 13th, Jusuf Nurkic, Ryan Dunn, and Grayson Allen are all not on the list, which implies they are fit and ready to roll.
