Will LeBron James play for the Lakers today in game 4 against the Denver Nuggets?

It’s about as bad as it can get for the Lakers; to be without LeBron for game 4 would be another kick in the teeth.

It’s that bad for the Lakers that people are asking if it’s ever been this bad before. The Denver Nuggets have cruised past them on three occasions now (114-103, 101-99 & 105-112), meaning that game 4 is very much win or bust.

And now LeBron James may not be fit for Game 4 (10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT). Here’s the latest.

What injury does LeBron James have? When will he return?

The 39-year-old has been listed on the official injury report submitted to the NBA as ‘probable’ with the Lakers citing his injury as Peroneal Tendinopathy in his left ankle. In normal people speak, that’s inflammation in the tendons that run along your outer ankle bone.

The even better news is that LeBron is, as he did ahead of game 3, pushing hard ahead of time to be fit and have another go at taking down the Nuggets, who are proving to be the worst nightmare for the NBA legend.

“You have to give credit where credit is due”, James admitted about the Nuggets after game 3, “those guys make tough shot after tough shot and a lot of things happened in the third tonight... this team is well equipped, well coached, they do not have a weakness offensively. They have shot makers, playmakers, guys that can rebound and assist, they’re definitely one of the better teams that I’ve played against in my career.”

Who is injured for the Lakers against the Nuggets in Game 3?

The other news for the Lakers is that Christian Wood is not definitely out for the event; along with Anthony Davis, he is listed as ‘questionable’. The former is suffering from a left knee injury while the latter has ‘lower back’ soreness.

Further, more long-term injuries include Jalen Hood-Schifino is out as he’s recovering from back surgery while Cam Reddish and Jarred Vanderbilt are unavailable with ankle sprains.

The game between the Nuggets and the Lakers will be played on Saturday April 27 with tip-off at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT. You can follow all the drama on AS USA as it unfolds in Los Angeles.
