Fans of the Golden State Warriors normally wake up to the California sun piercing through the curtains, but this time around, it’s the dagger of a damaged Steph Curry that is forcing eyelids open up and down the coast.

The Warriors are set to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2024 NBA season, and the presence of Curry on the official NBA injury list was not a worry they thought they’d have heading into the tie.

What injury does Steph Curry have?

Alas, there he is. Listed as ‘questionable’ due to injury, Curry’s participation in the game will be decided in due course ahead of tip-off at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome, with a knee injury the cause for concern.

Curry is playing like the comic book strips and early morning children’s cartoons would portray a US Olympic champion, which is exactly what he is. The NBA legend has come off the back of the Paris Olympics with a spring in his step and is quickly making everyone forget about the failure of the Warriors to bring in names such as Paul George and Lauri Markkanen, which were touted over the break.

The player, who has already missed three games this season, has a left knee bursitis according to the official report. A bursitis is a condition in which one or more small fluid-filled sacs near the knee joint become inflamed, which causes pain.

Fans were quick to note that Curry has already missed three games this season due to physical issues. Along with Curry on the list are: Beekman, Looney, Melton, (ACL) and Waters III (knee).
