The latest reports suggest Indiana Pacers’ player Tyrese Haliburton will not make it back in time to face the Boston Celtics in game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals (Saturday May 25, 8.30 p.m. ET / 5.30 p.m. PT).
The 24-year-old left game 2 early with leg soreness and now it seems that the point guard has not passed a fitness test ahead of game 3. The Celtics currently lead the series 0-2.

According to The Athletic, Haliburton is also a doubt for game 4 of the series, something which comes as a huge blow for the Pacers who were relying on a smooth recovery for their star player. The report says that doctors have made the call regarding his particpation in game 3 after he underwent an MRI on Saturday that showed a strain in his hamstring has not healed as well hoped.
Haliburton left the court in game 2 with 10 points and eight assists with just 28 minutes under his belt, reaffirming his quality and the threat that he brings to the side. He has averaged 18.7 points and 8.2 assists in the playoffs.
