Arch Manning blows away the competition as the biggest earner in college sports
The Texas Longhorns quarterback is more than just a famous name and he’s expected to challenge for a national championship this year.

With that surname, Arch Manning was always going to draw attention. He was a star in high school, joined the Texas Longhorns last summer and is now preparing for his first season as starting quarterback.
Manning - the nephew of Super Bowl-winning QBs Peyton and Eli Manning - is about to embark on high college football career with one of the most storied names in the NCAA. Of course, that brings a massive commercial deal for the young star.
The introduction of Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) deals in NCAA has opened the door for top players to earn serious money. And because the value is basically related to their commercial status, Arch Manning is a prime candidate for a big deal.
The Indianapolis Star reports that Manning will be the top-earning athlete in the NCAA for the 2025 season, with projected earnings of $6.8 million.
That figure is so far ahead of all other college athletes. The second-highest earner is Miami quarterback Carson Beck, who is expected to make around $4.3 million. incredibly, Manning’s college earnings are higher than most NFL players will make this year, according to NBC Sports.
But for all the hype, Arch Manning is not getting distracted by the attention, which only increased with the news that Texas are ranked as the No. 1 college football team for 2025.
“I think we kind of try to shift the narrative. We’re going for everyone else,” Manning said, referencing the fact that it is Ohio State who are currently the NCAA champions. “The target’s not on our back. We have a red dot on everyone else.”
