Almost 80,000 fans are expected to attend Friday’s Cotton Bowl college football clash as the Texas Longhorns face Ohio State Buckeyes with a place in the January 20 final on the line.

Thursday’s Orange Bowl final in Florida saw Notre Dame edge out Penn State 27-24 in a tightly fought contest but for the game in Arlington, Ohio State are the heavily fancied team to progres.

The Cotton Bowl Classic will be the fourth all-time matchup between Ohio State and Texas. As things stand, the Longhorns leads the head-to-head series 2-1, having won the teams’ most recent meeting, a 24-21 victory in 2009.

Tickets for the Arlington game

With Friday’s Cotton Bowl Classic officially a sell-out, any fans in the Arlington area anxious to watch the action at close-call will have to look at the secondary-ticket market.

Seat Geek do have a small amount of match tickets on sale with the cheapest starting at $173 for the upper tier (Sector 411). For any NCAA fans with no budget concerns, a ticket in sector C111 behind the Buckeyes bench will set you back $2,367.

Despite this significant outlay, fans will have an ideal perspective of the action as well as being able to see the activity on the Ohio State bench first-hand.
