Update:

March Madness is the annual NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, held every March and April.

A huge part of the basketball calendar, 68 college teams go head to head in a single-elimination format.

The tournament is divided into four regions, each seeded 1 to 16, with getting into the Final Four being the goal. Held in a different city each year, the Final Four is the pinnacle of college basketball, where the winners of the regional brackets battle it out for the national championship.

Selection Sunday: 6 p.m. ET Sunday, March 16 on CBS
First Four: March 18-19
First round: March 20-21
Second round: March 22-23
Sweet 16: March 27-28
Elite Eight: March 29-30
Final Four: April 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
NCAA championship game: April 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
