These are the charges against LSU WR Kyren Lacy
Louisiana State Police have issued an arrest warrant for LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy in connection with a traffic incident that left one man dead.

Kyren Lacy, a 24-year-old wide receiver from Thibodaux, Louisiana, has been charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle following a fatal crash on December 17, 2024. The incident occurred on Louisiana Highway 20 near Perez Lane, resulting in the death of 78-year-old Herman Hall, a former Marine.
According to the Louisiana State Police, Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger southbound on Highway 20 when he recklessly overtook multiple vehicles at high speed, crossing the centerline into the northbound lane within a designated no-passing zone. This maneuver forced a northbound pickup truck to brake and swerve right to avoid a head-on collision. A 2017 Kia Cadenza, traveling behind the pickup, swerved left to avoid the Dodge Charger but crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento. Herman Hall, a passenger in the Kia Sorento, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital.

After the crash, Lacy allegedly drove around the scene and fled south on Highway 20 without stopping to render aid, call emergency services, or report his involvement. The Louisiana State Police have issued an arrest warrant for Lacy and are in communication with him and his legal representation to arrange his surrender.
Lacy, who transferred to LSU in 2022, declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on December 19, two days after the crash. During the 2024 season, he led the Tigers in receiving touchdowns with nine and was second on the team in catches (58) and receiving yards (866).
