Expectation is growing ahead of Monday’s 2025 College Football National Championship final between Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Atlanta, Georgia will be the epicentre of college football tomorrow with more than 79,000 fans expected at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with demand for tickets rocketing with all initial tickets sold out as fans now resort to the spending big via the secondary market.

The Buckeyes are heavily tipped to prevail as they look to claim their ninth national championship and will be cheered on by a series of high profile Ohio State fans.

LeBron James

The most famous of the Buckeyes fans hails from Akron (Ohio) and just recently added the voice over for the team’s ‘Chapter of Champions’ video, produced to coincide with the CFB Playoff.

Over the years, LeBron has regularly showed his support for the Buckeyes' athletic programs despite never having attended the university.

Jack Nicklaus

‘The Golden Bear’ Nicklaus is one of the most successful golfers of all time winning 117 professional tournaments in his career which included a record 18 major championships.

Now aged 84, the Columbus native is a huge Ohio State fan and was a member of the Buckeye golf team from 1957 to 1961 before turning professional after switching sports at the university moving from basketball to golf.

John Legend

The 46-year-old singer/songwriter grew up in Springfield, Ohio, and is also considered to be a major Buckeyes supporter.

Rumour has it that the Grammy Award winner has his piano emblazoned with Buckeye stickers on his piano.

He told NBC in 2021: “I’m from Ohio, we’re neighbors,” he said. “We’re taught as children to hate people from Michigan because of the Ohio State-Michigan thing.
