When does the college football bowl season begin? Dates and matchups for every NCAA game
College football’s bowl season is upon us and this year has several intriguing matchups to enjoy over the festive period.

The 2025-26 college football bowl season gets up and running this weekend - for the second year, featuring a 12-team College Football Playoff. In total, 70 bowl and six All-Star games will take place over the course of five weeks.

Bowl season is here
The action gets underway on Saturday December 13 with Boise State and Washington in the LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium, and continues with the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama three days later when Troy take on Jacksonville State.
There is one game programmed for Christmas Eve (Sheraton Hawaii Bowl), five for New Year’s Eve (ReliaQuest Bowl, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl and Goodyear Cotton Bowl) and three for New Year’s Day.
The season concludes on Monday January 19, 2026 with the National Championship game at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida.
