As one of the only remaining undefeated teams in the league, the Niners come into this one expecting to win. Their chances will undoubtedly be helped by the fact that their opponents will be without their starting quarterback for this Week 6 clash.

49ers vs Browns: The Injury Report

The Niners are in good shape

It only takes a glance at the 49ers’ injury report this week to realize that they are actually quite healthy as they head into their clash with the Browns in Cleveland, Ohio. To be clear, the team only listed two players on the report ahead of the game: Linebacker Dre Greenlaw and running back Elijah Mitchell, both of whom were listed as “questionable,” following limited practice participation on Friday.

While speaking with the media, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked about whether Greenlaw is the kind of guy who could play in a game despite having limited participation in practice, to which he responded with “definitely.” Interestingly, Shanahan also added that Mitchell “had a good week” in practice and that Aaron Banks has been given the green light following a shoulder strain. Below you can see the 49ers’ official injury report:

Questionable

  • LB Dre Greenlaw (hamstring)
  • RB Elijah Mitchell (knee)

Deshaun Watson’s absence is a problem for the Browns

The big news out of Cleveland this week is that quarterback Deshaun Watson will not play against the 49ers after he was officially ruled out by the team. Watson as you may know is suffering from a bruised right rotator cuff after taking a hit in Week 3 against the Titans. P.J. Walker will replace him as the Browns who are currently 2-2 look to get back on track.

In addition to Watson, the Browns will also be without All-Pro left goal Joel Bitonio, who underwent a knee scope during the team’s bye week. Then, there is also David Njoku who has been listed as “questionable.” The tight end reportedly suffered burns to his face while lighting a fire pit at his home on September 29. Below you can see the Browns’ official injury report:

Out

  • G Joel Bitonio (knee)
  • WR Cedric Tillman (hip)
  • QB Deshaun Watson (right shoulder)

Questionable

  • TE David Njoku (hand, face)
  • C Ethan Pocic (chest, knee, foot)
