The Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns kick off their regular season this Sunday in Ohio. Here's how you can catch all the live action!
NICK CAMMETTAFP

The Dallas Cowboys will travel to Cleveland to open the regular season against the Browns at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday. Both the Cowboys and the Browns lost their first playoff game last season. The Cowboys had a 12-5 regular season followed by an embarrassing loss at home to the Green Bay Packers. The Browns struggled with injuries all season but finished at 11-6, making it to the postseason for the first time since 2020. They went on to lose 45-14 to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round.

The Cowboys and Browns have not played each other since October 2020 when Cleveland won 49-38 in an exhilarating Week 4 matchup at AT&T Stadium. The Browns held the lead for most of the game, going into the fourth quarter with a 41-14 advantage over Dallas. The Cowboys made a comeback to cut the lead down to just three points, but wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. sealed the win with a 50-yard touchdown for the Browns.

Browns vs Cowboys prediction

The Dallas Cowboys are entering this game as the underdogs. The Cleveland Browns will start quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has only played in 12 games in the last two seasons after missing an entire year before that. Their defense is hard to bet against though, and they play better at home while the Cowboys play worse on the road (although head coach Mike McCarthy has an idea for how to fix that problem).

The Cowboys have signed All-Pro receiver CeeDee Lamb to a contract extension, ensuring he’ll be the one to catch the majority of Dak Prescott’s targets and provide a challenge for the Browns defense. In 17 games together last year, Lamb caught 135 of Dak’s passes for 1,749 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Dallas will make it a close game, but I’ll be the non-believer in McCarthy’s road-win method and take the Browns to win at home to start off the regular season.
