Though many have had a lot to say about the TB12′s absence, it would appear that his coach and his team have no doubts about where his mind is at.

Much has been made of Tom Brady’s postseason absence with the new NFL season just about ready to go, but the Bucs coach is having none of it.

Bucs’ Todd Bowles pushes back on Tom Brady doubts

When you’re arguably the greatest ever to play your sport, attention and speculation is somewhat par for the course. Such is the case with Tom Brady and most definitely it was once again when he was recently absent for 11 days during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp. Indeed, the MIA status attributed to Brady led to a whole lot of questions, with some even indicating that the seven-time Super Bowl winner was no longer fully focused on playing football. That, however is something the Bucs seemingly don’t agree with in the least.

Asked on Monday about the situation surrounding his 23-year veteran QB and whether he’s “all in,” Bucs head coach Todd Bowles made it clear that he’s fully confident in Brady ahead of the 2022 season, despite any rumor or rhetoric. “He’s been all-in since we got him. He’s all-in now,” Bowles said, showing full support for his No. 12. Bowles also added that he is focused on what his players do on the field, not what they do off of it. I don’t follow the off-the-field stuff. I listen to XM The Groove and Soul Town,” Bowles added. “My off-the-field activities are honestly not even football-related.”

What do we know about Tom Brady’s absence?

To date, there has been no official word on why Brady missed almost two weeks of preseason training with his team. What we do have, is a slightly cryptic statement from the man himself when he said, “I’m 45 years old. There’s a lot of s--- going on.” As for what Brady was referring to, it might be worth mentioning that there have been reports of marital issues between Brady and wife Gisele Bündchen. Brady himself has also been outspoken about wanting to pay more attention to his family. Regardless, if there is one thing that’s certain it’s that his team and coach believe in his focus and are preparing for the season accordingly. Watch this space.
