After more than a decade of distance, Aaron Rodgers appears to have taken a major step toward repairing one of the most talked-about family rifts in sports.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback posted a series of photos on Instagram showing himself alongside his parents, Ed and Darla, and his brother Luke, captioned simply: “Another bonding week #fam.”
For longtime followers of Rodgers’ story, the images were striking. The four-time MVP had been estranged from much of his family for years, with the split becoming public and, at times, deeply personal. Now, it seems, something has changed. But not everything.
One family member notably absent from Rodgers family reuinion
While the post signaled reconciliation, one name was missing: Jordan Rodgers. Jordan, Aaron’s younger brother, did not appear in any of the photos.
However, the situation may not be as simple as it looks. Both Jordan and his wife, JoJo Fletcher, both liked the post, a small but notable gesture that suggests relations may be improving, even if not fully repaired.
Still, the absence stood out, especially given Jordan’s central role in bringing the family rift into the public eye years ago.

Another widely discussed, though never fully confirmed, factor was Rodgers’ past relationship with Olivia Munn.
During and after their relationship (2014–2017), multiple reports claimed there was tension between Munn and Rodgers’ family, and that the relationship may have intensified existing divides.
Munn later pushed back on some of those narratives publicly, saying she encouraged reconciliation, not separation. Still, the timing overlaps with when the estrangement became most visible.
Privacy vs. publicity
At its core, one of the most consistent themes in Rodgers’ comments has been control over his own story. He has long been selective about what he shares publicly, which made it all the more significant when details of his family life surfaced without his involvement.

Rodgers didn’t offer a long explanation or a statement about the family reunion or explain the details of what changed. He just posted photos like it was any other day.
