The NFL launched its new streaming subscription service on Monday and there is so much to get to know.

How much will NFL Plus cost?

There are two price tiers for the NFL Plus; the basic tier is $4.99 a month or $39.99 for a full-year commitment, while the premium tier is $9.99 a month or $79.99 for a year. There’s a free seven-day trial.

The basic tier offers live local and prime-time regular-season and postseason games on phones or tablets, live out-of-market preseason games on those devices or on the TV, as well as live game audio for all games. Ad-free access to NFL Films and NFL Network programming, the league’s library of on-demand content, is also available here. And because the NFL thinks of almost everything, they are offering a limited time early access with the basic tier, which offers subscribers a full year for $29.99, a 25% saving on an annual subscription. There’s a reason we said ‘almost’; it is not yet known how long this early access deal is going to be available.

The second, more expensive tier involves everything that the NFL Game Pass had, in addition to the basic NFL+ tier. The difference is that the premier option always has ad-free full and condensed game replays (45-minute) that go as far back as 2009, and ad-free All-22 (the birds-eye-view video watched by players and coaches).

Readers in the U.S. can sign up for NFL Plus here.

Can I watch NFL Plus on my TV?

The answer is no. However, viewers can watch preseason NFL games live on their connected TV or computer via NFL Plus, as well as the replays. As for the live regular-season and playoff games, including the Super Bowl, they are only available on phones or tablets due to the service blocking casting to laptop or a smart TV.

The good news is that live game audio for every game during the NFL season can be listened to via the NFL Plus streaming service. Fans can choose between listening to the home team’s broadcast, the away team’s broadcast or the national broadcast for the game.

To sum it all up, the new NFL Plus streaming service comes with its aforementioned advantages, but the large living room TV does not come in handy for this service, yet.

How to watch NFL games live on my TV?

NFL fans who want to watch live games on their TV, can just continue to do what they were doing before, watching via their local or national TV broadcasts through their cable or satellite provider and streaming services. Not to mention through NFL Sunday Ticket for most out-of-market games of course.

What happens if I was a subscriber to NFL Game Pass?

Subscribers will automatically be switched over to NFL Plus if they were subscribers to NFL Game Pass, specifically NFL Plus Premium.
