Chargers to wear new uniforms for the upcoming NFL season

With the 2025–26 regular season fast approaching, the Los Angeles Chargers are deep into training camp, making final tweaks to their roster before the NFL preseason kicks off.

On July 31, the Chargers will take on the Detroit Lions in the annual Hall of Fame Game at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio – the official start of the NFL preseason. But the real spotlight moment comes in Week 1 of the regular season, when the Chargers face the Kansas City Chiefs in Brazil, marking a historic international fixture.

Chargers unveil bold new alternate uniforms

The team surprised fans with two new alternate uniform designs: ‘Charger Power’ and ‘Super Chargers’.

The Charger Power look – an all-gold/yellow kit – will make its debut in Week 7 on October 19 against the Indianapolis Colts. This is the first time in franchise history the Chargers will wear a jersey fully in this color. The jersey features blue embroidery at the collar, white numbers with blue outline, and a white helmet with yellow stripes.

The Super Chargers uniform, meanwhile, is navy blue from head to toe, and will be worn in Week 8 (October 23)against the Minnesota Vikings, and again in Week 13 (November 30) against the Las Vegas Raiders. The design is a throwback to the team’s 2006 season – when they went 14-2 with LaDainian Tomlinson and Philip Rivers leading the charge – but with one key update: a navy helmet instead of the white used back then.

In addition to the new alternates, the team will continue to wear their traditional powder blue home uniforms and white road kits.
