Chiefs’ Rashee Rice under investigation for nightclub assault

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is again under investigation for assaulting a photographer at a nightclub.

Just days after turning himself in to authorities for a car accident, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is once again under investigation, this time for assaulting a photographer at a nightclub in Dallas, Texas.

Sources close to Dallas police said officers are interviewing witnesses about the incident that allegedly occurred Monday at 609 N. Harwood Street, which is the listed address for Lit Kitchen & Lounge and its attached speakeasy Feu Nightclub.

Rice, a 23-year-old wide receiver, is facing his legal issue of 2024. On April 10, the Dallas Police Department issued an arrest warrant for the player on eight serious charges: six counts of collision involving serious bodily injury, one count of aggravated assault and one count of collision involving serious bodily injury.

Will Rice have a sanction in the NFL?

So far it is unknown what the sanction that the Kansas City wide receiver will receive will be, however, league commissioner Roger Goodell insists that the NFL will look closely into any corresponding punishment once the investigation is completed.

“We are closely monitoring the process and as soon as it is finished we will be prepared to make a decision in accordance with the Personnel Conduct Policy that we have,” Goodell stressed.
