C.J. Gardner-Johnson tees off on Jayden Daniels in post NFC Championship on Instagram live video

The dust has settled and the stage is set for Super Bowl LIX from New Orleans. It’s the Kansas City Chiefs looking for a three-peat against a Philadelphia Eagles team that blew out the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship. After the big win, Philly cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson had a message for Commanders rookie QB, Jayden Daniels.

Daniels a lock for ROY

Jayden Daniels took the Commanders back to the playoffs and led them a postseason win for the first time in over 7,000 days. He not only snapped the dry spell of decades without a postseason win, but he also became the fifth rookie to win multiple playoff games in what was maybe the best debut seaso for any first year QB.

It was a historic season for the Commanders and for their new face of the franchise who is a shoe in for Rookie of the Year, but the dream season came to an end on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Eagles came out and dominated the game from the first minute until the last, and eased past Washington to punch their second Super Bowl ticket in the last three years.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson took to his Instagram account in the post game celebrations and had few choice words for the rookie QB. “Jayden McDaniels… Hell of a year, but sit yo a** down and watch the b**ch from home. Cancun University.”

Super Bowl LVII rematch up coming

Cancun University refers to “dig” those around the NFL and NBA use to put down teams that have their season ended early. Instead of going on to the Super Bowl, Daniels and the Commanders players will start their vacations early. While some may go to the beach, it doesn’t always have to be Cancun, Mexico, but that reference has been adopted by the sports world over the last few years.

Daniels was one of the only players for Washington that kept his team in the game for the first 45 minutes. The rookie passed for 255 yards, 1 TD and threw one pick while running for another 48 yards and 1 TD. In the end the Commanders turnovers and the Eagles run game were just too much to over come for this young team that has a promising future in the nation’s capital.

The Eagles are now heading to the Super Bowl to play the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs beat the Eagles on a last second FG from State Farm Stadium two years ago. Now Philly has a chance to avenge the loss in New Orleans two Sundays from now.
