On Friday afternoon, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero announced that Jonathan Taylor is off the Indianapolis Colts’ injury report, and will play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

The running back has missed the past two games for Indianapolis due to an ankle sprain, but is doing better and is ready to return for an important divisional game.

Taylor had told reporters that he hasn’t felt like himself, even when healthy, this season. And that’s what some of us feel like we’ve seen of him so far. In the first game against the Titans, Taylor only had 42 yards on 20 carries to go with one yard on a single reception. Considered to be the best running back in the league, these aren’t the numbers expected from the 23-year-old.

The good news for Indianapolis is that their RB is looking back on track again with Taylor and Nyheim Hines both present. Hines has recovered from his concussion, and Deon Jackson is good to go from his quad injury.

Colts vs Titans preview

In a pivotal divisional showdown on Sunday afternoon, the Colts (3-2-1) are seeking a third consecutive win, though they know it won’t be easy against Tennessee. The Titans (3-2) have beaten the Colts in their last four meetings, including the first matchup between them. Those last four losses for Indianapolis have been completely different, and there isn’t a specific dynamic for why the Titans have had the Colts’ number since Week 12 of the 2020 season.
