The Dallas Cowboys will head to Vegas on Saturday for their second preseason game against the Raiders. The Raiders and Cowboys both lost their preseason openers by just a point and will be looking for a comeback victory.

Raiders vs Cowboys: How to watch

The Cowboys, for their part, have been unlucky when it comes to the injury bug. They lost defensive end Sam Williams early in training camp and have dealt with both minor and relatively serious injuries to other players since then, including their starting quarterback Dak Prescott, although he seems to be fine now in practices (and very likely wouldn’t play Saturday anyway). They had two injury scares on Thursday when wide receiver Brandin Cooks left for the medical tent and did not return and safety Donovan Wilson left briefly, but fortunately did return. The Cowboys will not play any of their starters against the Raiders.

The Raiders have been much more fortunate where injuries are concerned. Their rookie offensive guard Jackson Powers-Johnson has actually just come off the active/physically unable to perform (PUP) list and joined in practice this week. The Raiders are expected to play at least some of their starters.

Let’s take a look at the injury report heading into the preseason game.

Las Vegas Raiders Injury Report

OT Kolton Miller

Miller is currently on the PUP list after hurting his shoulder last season and hasn’t been able to practice much this offseason. However, his doctors say he should be back with the Raiders soon and there is hope he could participate in the game against Dallas.

WR Jeff Foreman

A week ago, the Raiders saw their rookie receiver carted off the field with a knee injury and his leg in an air cast. His current status is questionable.

Dallas Cowboys Injury Report

OT Earl Bostick Jr.

Bostick injured his lower right leg during practice on Wednesday and is now slated to undergo surgery, looking like he’ll be out quite some time.

WR Brandin Cooks

Cooks left practice on Thursday with knee soreness, though it does not seem to be anything serious. He’s currently listed as questionable.

LB Damone Clark

Clark sat out of practice on Wednesday with a sore knee and though it doesn’t seem serious, the Cowboys are playing it safe with their starting LB.

LB DeMarvion Overshown

Overshown was limited in practice with a hip pointer.

G Chuma Edoga

Edoga suffered from a toe injury during last week’s preseason game against the Rams and is expected to be put on the reserve injured list at the start of the regular season. He’s listed as questionable, but he won’t be taking any snaps against the Raiders.

TE Peyton Hendershot

Peyton missed the preseason opener and last week’s joint practice with the Rams due to a shoulder injury. His status is questionable against the Raiders.

RB Royce Freeman

Freeman has been dealing with a groin injury and head coach Mike McCarthy says he’s a “maybe” against the Raiders.

S Israel Mukuamu

Mukuamu is also dealing with a groin injury and his status is undetermined as well.

DT Mazi Smith

Smith hasn’t travelled with the Cowboys to Vegas after suffering an allergic reaction on Friday, before they left California. The 2023 first-round pick received treatment and hasn’t yet been ruled out of playing. His status for Saturday’s game is uncertain, with another evaluation in the morning to determine his availability.
