The Philadelphia Eagles will launch the 2025 NFL season when they host the Dallas Cowboys. The reigning Super Bowl LIX winners will look to make home advantage count in a divisional showdown against their oldest rivals.
Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts will try to exploit the absence of Micah Parsons – traded to the Green Bay Packers – to run freely against the Dallas defense. But Dak Prescott will step into full gunslinger mode, spreading the ball around with George Pickens now joining CeeDee Lamb in the passing attack.
Philadelphia’s defense remains essentially the same unit that beat the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX. Two new faces, however, could prove vital: rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell, who will start from day one, and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, who signed for the league minimum in pursuit of a championship ring.
Dallas, meanwhile, begins a new era under head coach Brian Schottenheimer. The Cowboys have had only nine head coaches before him, and just four of those managed a winning record in their debut season.
