Update:

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are back in the spotlight, but did they ever really leave?

After the breakout success of Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders”, interest in the iconic squad has surged, and now the official 2026–2027 roster is here.

DCC 2026 roster revealed: Familiar faces return

The team announced a full lineup of 36 cheerleaders, including 28 returning veterans and eight new rookies, following an intensely competitive audition process that drew applicants from across the U.S. and beyond.

For fans of the show’s third season, which premiered in June, this year’s squad features several familiar faces, along with a few redemption stories that are already capturing attention.

Three rookies in particular - Bri, Emily, and Savanna - will stand out to viewers who followed last year’s training camp drama. After being cut in 2025, all three returned determined to earn their place, and their successful comeback is one of the most compelling storylines of this year’s team.

Meanwhile, leadership remains anchored by some of the squad’s most recognizable veterans. Fifth-year standout Kylie headlines the First Group leaders alongside Kennedy, Mckenna, and Charly, all of whom have built strong followings thanks to their appearances on the Netflix series. Their experience and visibility have made them central figures in the DCC’s growing popularity.

The Second Group leaders - Marissa, Sophy, Anna Kate, and Camille - also return as key veterans, helping guide a rookie class stepping into one of the most high-profile cheerleading roles in sports.

And that spotlight has never been brighter. According to the team, auditions jumped by 55% compared to last year, with candidates representing 25 states and three countries. It’s a clear sign that the Netflix effect is real, and that becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader is more coveted than ever.

As tradition dictates, the final squad reveal came after five demanding weeks of training camp, with Charlotte Jones delivering the news in a moment that has become a hallmark of the process.

The team will make its first appearance of the season at AT&T Stadium during the Cowboys’ preseason matchup against the New Orleans Saints on August 28, a debut that will likely draw even more attention from fans who discovered the squad through streaming.
