Dallas Cowboys training camp schedule in Oxnard, California: Daily practice schedule
The Dallas Cowboys return to Oxnard, California for their 65th training camp this week with the first open practice held Thursday, July 25.
The NFL season is getting closer every day, and now we finally have something to talk about as the Dallas Cowboys get ready to head to Oxnard, California for their 65th training camp. The team heads out on Monday with the first open practice on Thursday, July 25. Fans are welcome to attend all open practices for free (as space allows) from then until their last practice on Wednesday, August 21.
On the first weekend of training camp, the Cowboys will hold their annual opening ceremony and special fan event, Cowboys Back Together Weekend. The event begins on Saturday, July 27 and will feature live music, appearances by Cowboys alumni, Cowboys mascot Rowdy, autographs from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, exclusive merchandise, and prizes.
There are a lot of storylines, players to watch, and position battles heading into the 2024 Cowboys training camp. Two of Dallas’ top three draft picks were offensive linemen Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe, who will replace former Pro Bowlers Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadsz. They re-signed former running back Ezekiel Elliott after he spent last year with the New England Patriots. And their two offensive stars, quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will be looking for contract extensions, with the latter potentially holding out on practices until that happens.
The Cowboys’ first two preseason games will be held just around the corner from training camp. The first will be against the Rams in Los Angeles on August 11 and the second against the Raiders in Las Vegas on August 17. They’ll head back to Texas for the final preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers at AT&T Stadium on August 24. After that, the Cowboys will finish the final portion of their training camp at Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas with some practices open to the public then as well.
