Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson walked out of the hospital under his own power following the blood-curdling neck injury he sustained during the Bills’ 41-7 victory on “Monday Night Football.”

Before he was released, negative X-rays were taken as a precaution on Monday night.

Jackson was removed from the field by an ambulance during the second quarter of the Week 2 matchup with the Tennessee Titans, and was taken to ECMC Hospital in Buffalo. He had full movement in his extremities, but according to the Bills, underwent X-rays and a CT scan.

The 25-year-old will rest up at home on Tuesday, and be week-to-week.

How did it happen?

Jackson’s neck snapped aggresively backward after colliding with teammate Tremaine Edmunds during a tackle in the first half of the game.

The Bills’ DB fell to the turf immobile when Titans running back Hassan Haskins made a move that spiked rage all over the football world, pushing Jackson over and “breaking the cardinal rule in neck injuries: never move the casualty.” Shortly after, Jackson was worked on by trainers before the ambulance was summoned with 45 seconds left in the half.

Jackson, who’s in his third season with the Bills and in the NFL, was listed as questionable for the Monday game (knee) before being cleared to play.
