DeMarvion Overshown just got the news Cowboys fans were hoping for
Just days before the start of Dallas Cowboys training camp, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown got some remarkably positive news.
The Dallas Cowboys will return to Oxnard, California next week to begin training camp ahead of the 2025 NFL season. With their first open practice set for this Monday, they just received some positive news.
“We getting active!”
Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a devastating knee injury last December, tearing his ACL, MCL, and PCL. It was the second year in a row that he suffered from a season-ending injury.
But he’s already arrived to Oxnard and is ready for a new season after receiving a remarkably positive update from his doctors. He shared the good news in a post on social media, indicating that he will indeed return to action in the 2025 season.
“Good news from the Doc! We getting active THIS szn,” Overshown wrote. “All glory to God and to my guys in the training room.”
The 2024 breakout star had racked up 90 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, an interception, and a defensive touchdown before his injury.
There’s still no exact return date for Overshown, but he’d previously said he hoped to be back by Thanksgiving. Either way, optimism is growing that Overshown will contribute to the Cowboys’ defense this year.
