Diego Pavia accepts invitation to Baltimore Ravens camp after going undrafted

The invitation to the Baltimore Ravens' minicamp is a tryout and does not imply any contract; it will take place next weekend.

Estados Unidos Update:

Diego Pavia, the former Vanderbilt quarterback, has accepted an invitation to the Baltimore Ravens’ rookie minicamp after going unselected in the NFL Draft — even as 10 other quarterbacks heard their names called. The invite is essentially a tryout, not a contract, and the session is scheduled for next weekend.

A decorated college career

Pavia, 24, finished last season as a Heisman Trophy finalist and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, given to the nation’s top senior quarterback. He also earned SEC Player of the Year honors after piling up 4,401 total yards and 39 touchdowns, leading Vanderbilt to 10 wins — the most in program history.

The scouting debate: size vs. skill

One recurring note in scouting reports is Pavia’s height: 5′10 1/8″, shorter than the typical NFL quarterback prototype. Even so, evaluators highlight his accuracy, mobility under pressure, and the cultural shift he helped spark at Vanderbilt. Over his college career, he appeared in 53 games, showcasing durability and consistency.

If he impresses in Baltimore’s minicamp, he could earn a deeper look — and potentially a roster spot — as the Ravens continue evaluating depth behind Lamar Jackson.
