NFL I FANTASY
Fantasy Football top scorers by position: NFL 2024 Week 4
More surprises came in Week 4 of the NFL. Here are the top scorers by position with some unexpected names towards the top of some.
Along with a few surprises at the top of the fantasy scorers were some surprisingly low scorers as well. Jets running back Breece Hall had just 10 rushing attempts and never got more than three yards on any of them. He ended up with just 3.8 fantasy PPR points.
On the other hand, who saw Bears running back D’Andre Swift dropping nearly 30 points? Not me, as he was sitting comfortably on my bench racking up points while I lost to my sister. Ouch! But after three weeks of failing to score more than 10 points, Swift found his stride against the Rams defense, putting up 93 yards on 16 carries and a 36-yard touchdown run.
Let’s take a look at all the top fantasy scorers from Week 4 of the NFL. (All points based on PPR formats.)
NFL Fantasy Week 4 top scorers
Fantasy Week 4 top scorers - Quarterbacks
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields led the scoring with 32 fantasy points in their loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Fields was 22 of 34 for a season-high 312 yards plus a touchdown. He added 55 rushing yards on ten carries and two rushing touchdowns on top of that. This is the second game in a row that Fields has logged a rushing touchdown and he’s still available in several leagues.
Fantasy Week 3 top scorers - Running Backs
Leading the fantasy running backs in Week 4 is Ravens’ Derrick Henry with 35.9 points. He’s in the top 10 for the second week in a row now. He made franchise history with an 87-yard touchdown run on the Ravens’ first play from scrimmage.
Fantasy Week 3 top scorers - Wide Receivers
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins led the way in fantasy scoring for WRs in Week 4 with 33.1 points. After quarterback C.J. Stroud’s poor performance in Week 3 led Collins to a mediocre game, he came back with a vengeance in Week 4. Collins caught a career-high 12 of his 15 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown in their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s been the one consistent force in the Texans’ inconsistent offense and now leads the league with 489 receiving yards and is the first player in Texans history with more than 450 receiving yards through the first four games.
Fantasy Week 3 top scorers - Tight Ends
Despite the Packers loss to the Vikings, it was Tucker Kraft who led the tight ends in fantasy scoring in Week 4 with 17.3 points. He did have one costly fumble, but his six catches on nine targets for 53 yards and a 13-yard touchdown, plus a two-point conversion catch put him at the top of the TEs in Week 4.
Fantasy Week 3 top scorers - Kickers
Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk led his position in scoring in Week 4 with 24 fantasy points. In the Titans’ first win of the season, Folk played a huge role, making all five of his field goal attempts (tying his career-high), from 53, 52, 47, 51, and 29 yards, accounting for almost half of the Titans’ points in their 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Week 3 top scorers - Defenses
The top defense of Week 4 was the San Francisco 49ers with 22 fantasy points in their win over the New England Patriots. They held running back Rhamondre Stevensen to just 43 yards on 13 attempts. Fred Warner had a 45-yard pick-six and Nick Bosa sealed the victory with a strip sack and fumble recovery in the final minutes.
