Update:

We’ve all seen the videos on Instagram of people getting a little too carried away on the golf course. Golf is hard. It’s frustrating and it can sometimes get the best of people. That may be the case for most of us but it didn’t seem to be the case when George Kittle was spotted drop kicking WWE star The Miz.

Kittle “would love” WWE in the future

We know Kittle is no stranger to world of WWE. He’s been ringside at a few events and we’ve even seen him break out the the Luchador wresteling mask in the locker room. It turns out he’s not just a fan. He might have a future after football after seeing him drop kick the other part of his twosome at the American Century Championship.

He has alluded to the idea of getting into wrestling following his football career. On the Bussin With the Boys podcast, “I would love to do WWE,’ Kittle said. ‘I think there’s definitely opportunity within that world, and I would love nothing more than to be a part of it.”

The celebrity tournament had a star studded leaderboard full of athletes, TV personalties and former golfers. Kittle was a paired up with Michael Gregory Mizanin, better knows as The Miz, and he laid one on the pro wrestler in what looked to be a choreographed confrontation that made the fans go wild.

Kittle delivers some Chin Music

The two went face to face on one of the tee boxes at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, and it was The Miz who initiated the first contact after the two bumped chests. The Miz pushed Kittle and turned to egg the crowd on like he was in the middle of the ring. While imploring the crowd, Kittle gathered himself and laid him out with what looked to be a pretty convincing drop kick. If he didn’t get a piece, it certainly looked like it. And if he did get a piece, hats off to The Miz for bouncing back up.

With his size, strength and agility Kittle is a perfect prototype of a wrestler, and from what it looks like he has been working on his moves. He looked like Sean Michaels dropping a little “Chin Music” on The Miz, and Kittle says if he gets into WWE in the future he is going to have to go all in. “My only question mark with that is I so much love being a fan of WWE. I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my ass off for a while so I wouldn’t look like an idiot out there,” said Kittle.

Kittle didn’t win the tournament. That honor went to former NHL player Joe Pavelski, but Kittle and The Miz gave us one of the moments of the weekend from Tahoe. Now Kittle can turn his attention to the 49ers upcoming season. They will be looking to turn things around in the Bay after going 6-11 last year.
