Simone Biles added to her Olympic legend at the Paris 2024 Games. The American gymnast won four medals, three gold medals and one silver medal, at the summer event, and her husband, Jonathan Owens, a player for the Chicago Bears of the NFL, could accompany her to the French capital.

Owens witnessed firsthand how Biles won the team event, all-around and vault, and took second place in the floor routine. The Bears safety said on Inside Training Camp Live that seeing his wife’s greatness was amazing.

“It’s amazing, isn’t it? I’m super excited,” Owens also added, “I was thrilled to be there and witness it, experience the energy and culture, and see how everyone reacted to it.

With her medals in Paris, Biles became the most decorated gymnast in history with 11 medals, seven of them gold. In Rio de Janeiro 2016, she won gold medals in the floor exercise, vault, all-around, and team events, and a bronze on the balance beam.

Simone Biles is a warrior

Owens’ praise for Biles didn’t stop there. After Tuesday’s practice, he said the multi-Olympic medalist is a warrior. The gymnast’s feat was all the more impressive because she competed in the summer event with a calf injury.

My wife is a warrior. That’s what I tell people because I can compare it to how we are in football,” Owens said.

You limp a little bit, and it hurts before you play, but as soon as you get on the field, you forget about it. It’s pain tolerance and the way she came out and looked graceful. People didn’t know what was wrong with her. I’m happy and proud of her.

The safety missed the Bears’ practices but could watch the game against the Houston Texans until it was suspended due to a thunderstorm.
