How much is Tom Brady’s contract to be a game analyst with Fox Sports?
The deal between Fox Sports and Tom Brady making the Tampa Bay Buccaneers an NFL analyst after his retirement is reportedly worth $375 million.
Tom Brady’s retirement from playing football is shaping up to be even more lucrative than his days on the playing field.
Tom Brady’s mammoth TV deal
Fox Sports has made a 10-year deal worth $375 million with the quarterback to be their lead NFL game analyst after he hangs up his cleats, according to the New York Post. This gives him an annual salary of almost $40 million.
This would be more than the combined payout of top sportscasters Troy Aikman of ESPN and Tony Romo of CBS, who are both reported to be earning $18 million each season.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion has set yet another record with this agreement, as this becomes the biggest-ever sportscasting contract.
After Tom Brady’s retirement
Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch had earlier announced that the 44-year-old would work with them after he retired, but the full details of the deal were not yet made clear. Aside from his on-camera duties, Brady will also act as an ambassador for the company who will be involved in sponsorship deals and other marketing campaigns.
There is no exact timetable as to when the three-time NFL Most Valuable Player will start his broadcasting career, as the network will have to wait until Brady decides to retire from pro football for real. In the meantime, Fox will have to find a game analyst who will be willing to warm the seat for the GOAT of professional football until he finally joins the world of broadcast.
