How much will it really cost to stream the NFL this season?
Another streaming service? It’s getting messy - not to mention expensive - to stream NFL games in 2025. Here’s the breakdown.

The 2025-26 NFL season is almost upon us. As the preseason continues this weekend, there are less than three weeks until the regular season kicks off on September 4.
Watching those regular-season games, however, could get complicated this season. If you’re fortunate enough to live in the market where your team plays and will be broadcast on cable television, you won’t have too difficult of a time. But if you don’t, there will be a slew of streaming platforms to navigate.
The SIX different apps you need to watch every NFL game in 2025
There have already been several different streaming platforms announced for the 2025 NFL season, but Fox just launched another - the Fox One service will be available on August 21 for $19.99 a month or $199.99 for the year, adding yet another layer of streaming confusion. However, if you already have cable or a bundled streaming service, you can watch Fox One at no extra cost.

Between Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, Paramount+, ESPN, Netflix, and now Fox One, watching all 17 games for a single team could mean juggling six subscriptions and around $300 in fees. Here is the actual breakdown of monthly costs:
- Paramount+: $7.99
- Amazon Prime Video: $14.99 (or Prime Video subscription: $8.99)
- Peacock: $10.99
- ESPN: $11.99
- Fox One: $19.99
- Netflix: $7.99
While local fans can still catch most games on TV, out-of-market viewers will be forced deeper into the streaming shuffle. Another option, which won’t give you full access to all games, but offers a bit more, is NFL+. With that, you will have access to local and primetime games in both the regular and postseason for $6.99 a month (about $28 for the season). Those games can only be viewed on a phone or tablet.
The rise of streaming continues to reshape how - and how much - fans pay to watch America’s favorite sport.
