Estados Unidos Update:

Shedeur Sanders will make his preseason debut for the Cleveland Browns this Friday against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.

The rookie quarterback is listed as fourth on the Browns’ depth chart, but the two players ahead of him – Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel – are both dealing with hamstring injuries. Meanwhile, starting QB Joe Flacco is not expected to play for most of the preseason.

To further bolster their options, the Browns signed a fifth quarterback, Tyler Huntley, earlier this week to help manage the preseason workload.

So far, Sanders hasn’t had much time on the field with the first-team offense during training camp, but the coaching staff is expected to make the necessary adjustments to help him integrate with the main unit.

This is a key opportunity for the rookie, who was drafted earlier this year, to make a case for a bigger role. A solid showing on Friday could push him ahead of Pickett and Gabriel in the competition.
