ICE presence confirmed at Super Bowl LX for high-paying fans at the Seahawks vs Patriots game in San Francisco
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be present at the upcoming Super Bowl in California.

Do people still say that politics and sport shouldn’t mix, or has that been left behind with eating one apple a day to keep the doctor away? Is anyone still pleading that argument in the modern world, when Trump is turning up to every event held in a red state to hear the last cracks of weak applause off in the distance?
I say throw everything that we used to say in the bin. That you kids playing outside should be home before the street lights turn on; that I’ll meet you at the roller rink; that you have to wait for next week until the next episode of Friends. They’re all in the bin with a politics/sport mix that is long-gone.
Apart from when it suits Trump and his cronies. President Almighty is set to send his henchmen, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, to parade the perimeter of the Super Bowl venue like Koopa Troopas from Super Mario Bros.
Officials say the move is part of standard security arrangements for major public events, but normal people view it as a politically charged extension of increasingly aggressive immigration enforcement policy put in place by Donald Trump, who has given them immunity for their actions.

Over the weekend, federal agents shot and killed Alex Pretti, an unarmed VA nurse multiple times, marking the second killing in as many months after Renee Nicole Good was shot in the face and killed in cold blood as she tried to drive away from ICE in her car.
Despite the rising tensions, DHS has confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will be stationed around Levi’s Stadium during the Super Bowl, where the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will compete.
A spokesperson for the department emphasised that people legally in the United States “have nothing to fear” from these measures, framing the operation as consistent with past security protocols at large sporting gatherings. “Our mission remains unchanged. We will not disclose future operations or discuss personnel. Super Bowl security will entail a whole of government response conducted in-line with the U.S. Constitution,” Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told The Independent.

This is one of the most devastating but absolutely poignant moments I’ve ever seen from him.
It’s nice to see what a real human response to this bullshit looks like. Watch:
