With the NFL season right around the corner, it’s time to get out 2024 fantasy sides into gear. For that, we need a lot of tactical and technical knowledge, a little luck, and plenty of preparation. While it’s only, ahem, a game, it’s never nice to come last and our fantasy teams can mean the difference between a happy weekend and a sad one.

With that in mind, we’re here to give you the run down on all the injured players ahead of week one in the NFL, as they will be no use in your side as you look to rack up some early points.

NFL injuries ahead of Week 1:

Christian McCaffrey (RB – SF)
- Dealing with calf injury but ramping up his activity level and expected to be ready Week 1. (8/28)

Tyreek Hill (WR – MIA)
- Dealing with a minor hand injury that is being treated cautiously but should be ready for Week 1 (8/28)

Jahmyr Gibbs (RB – DET)
- Returned to practice on 8/25 but no report as to t he extent of his participation. Still expected to be available Week 1.

Puka Nacua (WR – LAR)
- Returned to practice 8/26 but yet to be full participant.

Davante Adams (WR – LV)
- Dealing with a minor injury with no new info since 8/20

Jaylen Waddle (WR – MIA)
- Practicing with non-contact jersey but on track to play Week 1 (8/26)

Sam LaPorta (TE – DET)
- Returned to practice on 8/26. Still worth monitoring his hamstring injury.

Christian Kirk (WR – JAC)
- Dealing with calf injury but returning to practice the last week of August (8/28)

Mark Andrews (TE – BAL)
- Involved in car accident with no injuries reported but has not practiced since (8/28)

Jaylen Warren (RB – PIT)
- Dealing with hamstring injury but expected to be ready for Week 1 (8/28)

DeAndre Hopkins (WR – TEN)
- Dealing with Knee injury. Reports saying he could be ready for Week 1. (8/28)

All eyes are now set on the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs kicking off Thursday, Sept. 5 in Kansas. In addition, this year the Super Bowl is scheduled to be played on February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

NBC will broadcast the live game between the Ravens and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, starting at 8:20 p.m., with coverage kicking off at 7 p.m. Additionally, NFL fans outside the United States will have the opportunity to watch more international games this year, with a total of five scheduled. In Week One, the Green Bay Packers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil.
