Rumors have been swirling about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones potentially buying the English Premier League soccer club Tottenham Hotspur.

There have been rumors floating around that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was looking to either buy or invest in English Premier League’s soccer club Tottenham Hotspur. There were even claims that he was flying to London this week to negotiate a mega-money deal for the $4.7 billion club.

Rumors of Jones' purchasing Tottenham put to rest

Tottenham Hotspur and the NFL have a good relationship, with the soccer club hosting games annually at their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. And Jones has been known to get involved in other sports from time to time, most recently making a deal with IndyCar to hold a race on a course near the Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

However, Football London reports that these rumors are just that - rumors. Jerry Jones will not be buying or investing in Tottenham Hotspur.

The club is, however, open to investment. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy confirmed talks with “prospective investors” about selling a stake. It’s just that those prospective investors do not include Jones.

Similar to the Cowboys, the Spurs are one of the biggest and wealthiest franchises in their sport, but have frustrated fans with their lack of trophies. After moving to their new stadium in 2019, their revenue tripled and their worth is now valued at $3.2 billion. Jones' Cowboys are the wealthiest sports franchise in general, valued at $11 billion.
