Is Marquez Valdes-Scantling playing for the Saints against the Packers in Week 16?
The New Orleans Saints may be without wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling as they face the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field for Monday Night Football.

The New Orleans Saints have lost their hopes at a postseason this year, but the season isn’t over yet. They still have three games to go, starting with a tough one against the 10-4 Green Bay Packers for Monday Night Football tonight at Lambeau Field.
Saints wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling may have to miss the reunion with his former team though, as he’s been dealing with an illness that’s kept him on the injury report.
Valdes-Scantling questionable vs Packers
Valdes-Scantling initially had to miss practice on Thursday due to a chest injury. He then missed Friday’s practice as well thanks to an illness. He was able to practice on Saturday though.
The only change to Saints’ injury report is that Marquez Valdes-Scantling added illness to his chest injury.

That probably explains why he wasn’t back in practice Friday as expected. pic.twitter.com/7UomLMxRWw
For now, Valdes-Scantling is listed as questionable to start the game against his former team. Valdes-Scantling played for the Packers from 2018-2021. He then played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills before the Saints signed him in October of this year.
He’s done well for New Orleans so far, with 14 receptions on 25 targets for 352 yards (25.1 yards per reception) and four touchdowns through six games.

If Valdes-Scantling can’t play, that’s bad news for the Saints, who are already thin at receiver with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed both out with injuries.
