Travis Kelce is in Argentina for Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour”

You had to know it wouldn’t be long before they were back in the news. NFL’s favorite couple, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift. This time around the news is about reciprocity. That’s to say, while speaking with his brother and Eagles player, Jason Kelce, on the latest episode of their podcast, “New Heights”, the Chiefs star alluded to the idea that he will travel to South America where Taylor Swift is set to kick off the international segment of her “Eras Tour.

Cheekily pressing his brother, Jason asked “You got anything you’re looking forward to going to?” Travis responded with a leading statement: “I might just say f--k it, and just, go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale, so I got to go somewhere sunny.” Once again Jason pressed, asking whether his intended destination was “somewhere south”, to which the Chiefs player answered, “Closer to the equator.” With Swift’s tour set to commence on Thursday, Nov. 9, it coincides nicely with Kelce’s availability which leads us to believe that he will in fact be in attendance when the curtain rises in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Thursday night.

Travis Kelce is globe-trotting

With Swift set to stage three shows between Thursday and Saturday, it remains unclear as to how many shows Kelce will attend and moreover how long he will be in South America for, however, with the Chiefs on that aforementioned bye week, he wouldn’t have to be back in Kansas City before Sunday. This of course comes after he was in Germany during Week 9 to face the Miami Dolphins in one of the NFL’s international games, one which the Chiefs won 21-14. Yet, it’s got to be said, after Swift attended four of his games and essentially broke the internet and the NFL’s viewership records in the process, it’s the least he could do.

Taylor Swift is a Chiefs fan so what does that mean for Travis Kelce?

His presence in Argentina will undoubtedly add to the already intense chatter around the new power couple that folks can’t get enough of, but what will really be interesting to see is whether Swift attends his next game when the Chiefs return in Week 11. That’s because the Chiefs will be facing the team that Swift grew up supporting and even made it into the lyrics of one of her songs, the Philadelphia Eagles. Yes, that’s the team that Travis’ brother Jason plays for, and yes it’s a rematch of this year’s Super Bowl. Unfortunately Swift will not be able to attend the game.
