The Dallas Cowboys landed in Oxnard, California for training camp on Wednesday and are already practicing on the field today. Owner Jerry Jones arrived a little late, as he was held up at a trial in Texarkana, Texas, causing the opening press conference, originally scheduled to Wednesday to be moved to Saturday.

When is the Cowboys’ opening press conference?

Jones was countersuing a woman who claimed to be his daughter, claiming she and her mother broke a settlement agreement from 1989. However, before he gave his testimony, the trial was abruptly called off. Jones and the women agreed to drop all charges against each other, and in the end, the settlement agreement will remain in place and Jones will not have to take a paternity test to prove he’s the father (as was previously ordered by a judge).

Because the trial was expected to last four or five days, the Cowboys’ opening press conference, which was scheduled for Wednesday, the day before the Cowboys’ first open practice, was postponed until Saturday.

However, since the trial ended earlier than expected, Jones was able to get to Oxnard for the start of practice and the press conference will be held today at 10:30 a.m. PCT.
