NFL Week 9 has so far been full of records being broken, including Tom Brady passing for 100,000 yards in the Bucs’ first win in four games.
Week 9 finishes tonight as the New Orleans Saints host the Baltimore Ravens. It seems unlikely we’ll see any records being broken tonight, but this week, that’s certainly been the trend. Here is a look at the players who have set NFL records already in Week 9.

Justin Fields sets quarterback record for rushing yards in a game
On Sunday, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields did something no quarterback has done since 1940 - he rushed for 178 yards, surpassing Michael Vick’s 2002 record of 173 yards. Although the Bears lost to the Dolphins, Fields had a field day. Not only did he set the NFL record for most regular-season rushing yards by a quarterback since 1940, but he also had four touchdowns and became the first player in NFL history with at least three touchdown passes, 150 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown in a single game.
Derrick Henry breaks Titans record for rushing touchdowns
Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry broke a franchise record again, this time for most rushing touchdowns in Titans history. Just a week earlier, Henry broke the record for most total touchdowns. He scored his 74th career rushing touchdown in the second quarter from one yard out, surpassing Earl Campbell’s previous record or 73.
Tom Brady becomes first quarterback to pass for 100,000 yards
The Buccaneers finally snapped their three-game losing streak and they did it on a game-winning touchdown pass by Tom Brady to defeat the reigning Super Bowl champs LA Rams. That pass was Brady’s 55th game-winning drive, breaking a tie he previously held with Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history. He also managed to tie Manning for the most fourth-quarter comebacks of all time, marking his career 43rd. And that’s not all. Brady also managed to break an NFL record, becoming the first quarterback to pass for 100,000 yards.
Joe Mixon sets Bengals record with five touchdowns
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon finished the 42-21 beating of the Carolina Panthers with a franchise record five touchdowns. The Bengals rushed for five touchdowns for the first time since 1988 and Mixon accounted for four of them and added a passing touchdown catch on a 12-yard toss by quarterback Joe Burrow. He is also the first player in the Super Bowl era to record at least 150 rush yards, four rush touchdowns, 50 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in the same game.
Kenneth Walker III ties rookie record with rushing touchdowns
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III had two touchdowns in their win over the Arizona Cardinals, rushing 26 times for 109 yards and adding three catches for 20 yards. The rookie now has five straight games with a rushing touchdown, tying the Seahawks rookie record. He is a frontrunner in the Rookie of the Year race along with Chris Olave of the New Orleans Saints.
