LeBron James praises NFL for suspending Bills game

The Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals game was suspended on Monday night after a Bills player suffered a hear attack on the field.

A terrifying moment occurred during the Monday Night Football game when Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. The 24-year-old suffered a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. The officials originally stopped the game for a five-minute break, but eventually decided to suspend the game altogether after the seriousness of what occurred became clearer.

The sports world comes together for Damar Hamlin

When things like this happen in the sports world, it’s hard to know the right thing to do. But the NFL suspending the game was a good call, and NBA star LeBron James agrees, praising the decision.

It was definitely the right call by whoever made that call, Roger Goodell or whoever had an opportunity, the authority to make that call to suspend the game,” said James.

After the Lakers beat the Hornets 121-115, James was asked by a reporter what his thoughts were on the incident. He told them that the safety of the players should always come first and is the most important concern.

It was a terrible thing to see and I wish nothing but the best for that kid, for the city of Buffalo, for the franchise of the Bills and like I said, for the rest of the NFL as well and also the Bengals that were there and playing in that game,” said James.
