“Maybe she wanted time. Maybe she wanted attention. Brady seems happy and she’s clearly moved on”

When Gisele Bündchen welcomed her first child with current partner Joaquim Valente in February, ex-husband Tom Brady was quick to congratulate the couple, with Page Six revealing he had been in touch with the Brazlian model to wish them “nothing but the best”.

Brady and Bündchen’s “amicable” separation

After it was revealed Brady and Bündchen were getting divorced in October 2022, the seven-time Super Bowl winner revealed on social media there had been no bad blood between the pair.

“We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

That certainly appears to have been the case, with the two parties having moved on with their respective lives. Now, however, and somewhat out of the blue, Brady has been blasted over his role in the split by fellow football legend Shannon Sharpe.

Shannon Sharpe hits out at Tom Brady over Bündchen

On his “Club Shay Shay” podcast, the former Denver Broncos tight end discussed the end of Brady and Bündchen’s relationship with comedian Andrew Schulz, and offered his opinion that his fellow footballer was focusing his attempts to satisfy his then wife’s needs in completely the wrong area.

Sharpe also appeared to bring back up rumors that Bündchen cheated on Brady with Valente while they were still together, which she has categorically denied.

“I think the thing is, with Tom, he’s probably thinking, ‘I got all this money, why does she need to do that?’ No, he’s got all this money, and he still couldn’t keep his ex happy,” Sharpe claimed.

“Maybe she wanted time. Maybe she wanted attention. I don’t know what she wanted. Tom seems to be happy. He’s moved on. Clearly, she’s moved on. But I think in the back of his mind, he’s like, ‘This was probably going on right in front of my face.’”

“Your wife is cool?”

Schulz was one of the comedians who took part in “The Roast of Tom Brady,” released by Netflix last year. The purpose of the show, as the name suggests, was to make fun of the ex-New England Patriots quarterback and while some topics were off-limits, others, including Bündchen, seemingly weren’t.

“He was like, ‘Don’t talk about my kids,’” Schulz revealed. “And we were like, ‘Your wife is cool?’ and he’s like, ‘You know... Yeah.’ “
