Micah Parsons’ nightmare start: back injury may sideline Packers star
The Green Bay Packers’ new boy may be unavailable for their Week 1 game in the NFL season.

Reports have emerged that have plunged Micah Parsons’ debut appearance into doubt as the player is said to be suffering from a back injury that may require an injection.
Per ESPN sources, the new Green Bay Packers star is dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back and the team doctors are said to be weighing up their options ahead of the game against the Detroit Lions.
Parsons has made headlines all week following his groundbreaking move from the Dallas Cowboys, who saw him go in exchange for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. He sat out of training with his previous team with back tightness for which he was already taking anti-inflammatory medication prescribed by the Cowboys; on Monday, he managed just limited participation in the Packers’ pre-game session.
Green Bay signed the 26-year-old to a four-year, $188 million contract extension that includes $120 million fully guaranteed at signing and $136 million in total guarantees, numbers that make Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

“I think it upped our chances by a lot”
Left tackle Rasheed Walker certainly echoed the buzz from the fanbase when he posted on social media that the Wisconsin team could go on to win the Super Bowl.
“I think it upped our chances by a lot,” Walker told the media on Monday. “We got a solid pass rush across the whole line. I don’t think no one’s gonna be able to throw the ball like that on us. It’s gonna open up opportunities for our DBs and our offence, so yeah, I feel like Micah’s gonna have a good presence on the field and it’s gonna really be advantageous to us.”
“[Parsons] had a couple reps,” Walker said, “but he said he’s going to be more full-go Wednesday and Thursday. So, he’s going to have to come see me.”
